Annual Real Estate Market Review and Forecast Set for March 13 at Constant Center
Thursday, March 07, 2013
For its 18th annual Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review and Forecast, Old Dominion University's E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and Economic Development (CREED) is trying to keep up its momentum for the industry-wide event by utilizing a slightly new approach.
The event, set for Wednesday, March 13, at ODU's Ted Constant Convocation Center, is a comprehensive look at the real estate landscape in Hampton Roads, presented by experts with a comprehensive understanding of the complex commercial and residential real estate markets in the region. The market review plays a key role in the region, bringing together public, private and academic experts to examine market performance and trends affecting real estate and development activity in the region.
"The participants tell us how much they value the localized content and data they receive from the Hampton Roads Market Review and Forecast," said John Lombard, CREED director and chair of the Department of Urban Studies and Public Administration in ODU's College of Business and Public Administration. "But they also expressed a desire for the event to be more interactive and hands-on."
This year's event is being moved to the arena floor of the Constant Center, offering attendees' table seating and enhanced views of this year's production. It will also feature a moderator for the first time, Craig Cope of Liberty Property Trust. Cope will lead a question-and-answer session with the six expert presenters for the Market Review and Forecast, taking questions from the audience and via Twitter, @oducreed.
